Varotec Premium Optics, located in Pretoria, founded in 1998

Being hunters and lovers of the great outdoors, our experience was that branded optics such as rifle scopes, binoculars, mono telescopes and range finders are really very expensive. As if the brand owners over charge.

Our mission was to find high end optics factories of rifle scopes, binoculars, mono telescopes spotting scopes and laser range finders and offer these.

During many visits to China, we were introduced to and visited high end optics manufacturers.  Great was our surprise to find, well known brands made  in these factories producing to ISO standards. We found a comprehensive, rugged, high class, range made from best materials in China and decided to offer these under the proudly South African Varotec brand. The criteria is affordable, high end, with best multi coated lenses, with best light transmission and with patented German Kepler optical system Our mill dot illuminated reticles are amongst the best in the industry

We then developed some important criteria and incorporated this in our range
